Moreover, Lekshmi Nair worked as a newsreader at Doordarshan from 1980 to 1988. In 2007, she became the Professor of the Kerala Law Academy, and later, she became the Principle of Kerala Law Academy in Trivandrum.

    Though she is from a Law background, the world got to know her through her cooking shows as she was always passionate about cooking and experimenting with new dishes.
