Early Life
Born in Miami, Florida, Cornwell grew up with her father, Sam Daniels, a prominent lawyer, and her mother, Marilyn. She had a distant relationship with her father, who passed away in 1961. After his death, her mother was hospitalized with depression, and Cornwell and her siblings were placed in foster care.
